Michael Root brings a laid-back, crowd-friendly sound rooted in country music, blended with classic rock favorites and a touch of pop. A Texas native who moved to Michigan in 2018, Michael began his musical journey as a karaoke singer at 18 before teaching himself guitar during the COVID shutdown. Since summer 2022, he has been performing acoustic sets that are both engaging and easy to enjoy.
Michael has won multiple singing competitions and even received a callback for The Voice in 2019. Together, these self-taught musicians bring genuine talent, strong vocals, and a relaxed summer soundtrack perfect for the farmers market stage.

"Split Decision" is a band, founded in Sand Beach, Michigan by Drummer Ray VanHoorelbeke, his son Nathan on Guitar, as well as their friends Trevor Booms on Bass, and Jim Sabotka taking lead over the auxilliary percussion, in the Summer of 2024.
