Grindstone Harbor

Public Access Site with Hard-Surface Launch

Grindstone Harbor is known for its excellent fishing and picturesque beauty. It's a popular destination for boaters, fishermen, and nature enthusiasts.

The harbor provides a public access site for boaters and kayakers and is a popular launch point to view Turnip Rock. It is also a designated stop on the Tip of the Thumb Heritage Water Trail.

There is a hard-surface ramp with sufficient water depth to accommodate all trailerable watercraft (minimum of 2.5 - 3 feet deep at a distance of 20 feet from shore) and the site is signed.

Check out the grindstones that mark the shoreline, admire the lake, or cast a line from the two points that extend out into Lake Huron.
